Oopbuy Finds Spreadsheet help, glossary and FAQ

Where to ask, what the words on a UK route card mean, the questions UK buyers send most, and the mistakes worth avoiding.

Help: where to ask what

Oopbuy's own help centre is linked from the footer of every page on its site, grouped into Customer Service, Shopping Agent Guide, Payment, Delivery and Warehouse and After-sale. The helper index carries the articles this guide quotes most, including 'Process duration for each stages'.

For a question about a specific parcel, use the live chat or email [email protected]. For VAT and duty, the authority is gov.uk and the bill from the carrier. For an unclear statement here, check its dated source before relying on it.

Glossary: terms explained

Two of these are community shorthand rather than Oopbuy's words. GL and RL, green light and red light, are what buyers say when they accept or reject an item after the warehouse photos. QC is used for the photos themselves and for the decision. The rest come from the estimator cards, and where Oopbuy does not define them, neither do we.

Domestic postage
The seller’s delivery charge to the agent warehouse in China.
Consolidation
Selecting several stored items for one international parcel; it can change packed size and route eligibility.
Billable weight
The weight the route charges for, often the higher of scale and volumetric weight, subject to its minimum and rounding rules.
Waybill
The parcel submission and shipping record; different from the item’s order number.
GL / RL
Community shorthand for accepting (green light) or rejecting (red light) what photos show. It does not replace the agent’s formal return request.

Frequently asked questions from UK buyers

Which Oopbuy line is cheapest to the UK
At 1 kg on 15 October 2026, DDF-RoyalMail at £14.95 list price, with OopLine-P and SF-RoyalMail within a pound. For battery items, ZD-Roymail; for perfume, ZX-RoyalMail.
Which Oopbuy line is fastest to the UK
The fast delivery profile covers DDF-RoyalMail, SF, S-Remote, DDF BIG and both DPD lines: about 71% of delivered parcels arrived within 10 days.
Can Oopbuy ship to the Scottish Highlands or Northern Ireland
Yes, on S-Remote-RoyalMail, ZD-PY and ZXPY-RoyalMail, whose descriptions name those areas. Nine other lines refuse remote addresses.
Will I pay VAT at the door
Not for goods worth 135 pounds or less, where VAT is collected at order. Above that, the carrier bills VAT and possibly duty.
Is the price on the card final
It is an estimate for the weight you enter. The warehouse weighs and measures the packed parcel; volume weight can raise it.
Does this site sell anything
No. It is an independent guide. Orders and payment happen on Oopbuy.

Shopping notes and mistakes to avoid

Check the postcode before the price; a refused address can bounce a parcel. Keep battery items out of soft-goods boxes unless you accept a battery line for the whole box. Do not read 'Tax free' as 'no VAT'. Declare what you paid. And do not plan with the 5-12 days on the help page; no UK card promises it.

At the door, Oopbuy's Receipt Information page asks you to check the outer packaging before signing, note any damage on the waybill, and report problems to the local post office within 2 days. Keep the box and tape until you are sure.

Contact and next steps

Oopbuy support: live chat on the site, [email protected], and the Oopbuy Discord server. UK tax questions: gov.uk, goods sent from abroad. Use this guide’s dated source notes when checking a discrepancy.

Before you message support about a UK parcel

Support can only check what you can name. Have the parcel number and the exact line name from the parcel page, the dispatch date, the first half of your postcode and what the card promised: the business-day range and whether the late coupon threshold is 30 or 45 days.

Count business days from the dispatch date before you write. A parcel on a 7-14 card that left Xiamen nine working days ago is not late yet, however long ago you ordered it. A parcel that has passed the top of its range is worth a message; one that has passed 30 days, or 45 on EUB and EMS, is where the late coupon applies.

If the parcel is with a UK carrier and a fee is due, deal with the carrier first. The hold period is about three weeks, and Oopbuy cannot pay the bill for you.

When the parcel reaches your door

Check the outside for tears, wet areas, re-taping or obvious crushing before disposing of anything. Where the carrier allows it, record damage at delivery. Photograph the sealed package and label privately, then record unpacking and count the items against the parcel list.

For a missing or damaged item, keep the box, wrapping, tracking history and photos. Contact the carrier and Oopbuy through their official channels promptly; ask for the applicable evidence and claim deadline. Do not wait for a community reply or assume the seller return window still applies after international delivery.

If tracking says delivered but you have no parcel, check the delivery photo, safe place, household and neighbours, then open a carrier enquiry and update account support. Share the tracking number privately, not in an open discussion.

First-order FAQ

Is a catalogue price my delivered cost?

No. Domestic postage, freight, payment/conversion charges, selected services and applicable taxes can be separate. Use the two-payment checklist before committing.

Does QC prove an item is authentic or works?

No. Ordinary photos help check visible condition and the ordered variant. Request a specific measurement, detail or agreed test if that determines your decision.

Can I return an item throughout its storage period?

No. Conditional seller returns have a much shorter window than storage. Read the two clocks and contact support as soon as a problem appears.

What should I do if the seller link no longer opens?

Try the original marketplace link and ask the agent whether it can still buy that exact variant. Do not pay against a similar image or an unverified replacement link.
